Ishibashi is a kind old man that often smiles just for the sake of smiling. While he does not appear in front of students a lot, when he does he shows them a caring aura that makes people trust him easily. When he talks he easily gives the impression that he could deal with any problem should it appear, with full control. Despite this, he has shown signs of doubt in the face of trouble. If someone comes to him troubled, it is a mood that is easily passed on to him. He severly dislikes situations that does not work out. For most outdoor problems he generally consults with his long time friend, the janitor Nagasawa Tenmu. Luckily for Ishibashi, not many do come to him with their troubles because he is not seen as a very close person to most of the students. He knows almost none of them himself personally.
He greatly enjoys western food and western movies.
